While there is currently no cure, recent advancements in medical interventions have significantly improved symptom management and enhanced patients' quality of life. Medications Levodopa, often combined with carbidopa, remains the cornerstone of PD treatment, effectively alleviating motor symptoms. In August 2024, the FDA approved Crexont, an extended-release formulation of levodopa/carbidopa, offering longer-lasting symptom control and reducing dosing frequency.
